Counter Strike Global Offensive is now available on Linux to download. Anyone with Counter Strike GO can download the game on Steam Linux. As per reports on steam forum, game is not playable as players getting missing executable error. Since game is available on Linux Steam library, it won’t be long before the game become playable in Linux.

Team Fortress 2, other popular first person shooter game available on Linux perform much better with recent updates. On my old HD 5670 graphics card, i perform very well. Hope CS GO will also have good performance on Linux/Ubuntu.

On Steam community forum, user Bucky21659 have posted screenshot of CS GO gameplay on his AMD Radeon HD 6670 graphics card with AMD catalyst driver 14.6 beta. He reported some graphical and server connection issue. AMD generally have very BAD driver for Linux. Hope these issues get solved soon.
